SUCCURATH

Aussi gros qu'un boeuf, le Su ou Succurath ou Succarath, est aperçu sur les bords des rivières en Patagonie dès 1558. Une tête de lion avec un je ne sait quoi d'huumain, une courte barbe et une grande queue sous laquelle s'abrite ses petits. Reported as early as 1558, the Succurath lived on the banks of Patagonian rivers. It had the head of a lion with with a human look, a short beard and a tail covered with tough bristles which provided shelter for its young. Artist rendition fron 1673.
