HAIRY HANDS OF DARTMOOR

Depuis plus d'un siècle, dans un coin du Royaume Uni qui a inspiré Sherlock Holmes pour Le Chien des Baskervilles, court la rumeur et la légende de mains poilues qui forcent les usagers de la route à mourir dans des accidents cruels. Starting in 1910, came reports about strange accidents on the road now known as the B3212 running from Postbridge to Two Bridges. The stories told of disembodied hands grabbing at car steering wheels or bike handlebars and trying to cause accidents with their supernatural strength. In 1921, it was a medical officer from Dartmoor Prison, Dr EH Helby, who lost control of his motorcycle on the road, being thrown from the bike and breaking his neck. In 1924 Theo Brown was the victim of another hands attack. On and on up to 2008, the hairy hands were said to cause deaths, although most people blame the dangerous road.
